The End of The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail

Well overall it was quite a good play. I felt that the stage directions were very detailed and I liked them a lot more than the stage directions in Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds. I really, really loved the way Henry put things. Just the way he talked was astounding to me. My favorite thing he said in the whole play was, "We love without knowing it. A man, or a woman, can't love on schedule. I don't wake up in the morning and say: 'I shall start loving at nine-twenty, and continue until ten-fifteen.' Yes, it is accidental. And it's everywhere, it's the wind, the tide, the waves, the sunshine."

I didn't count how many times huckleberries were mentioned, but I did love all the little references to him. The best part I think was when Henry took Edward huckleberry-hunting. Especially when Edward tripped with his basket full and Henry said, "You have planted whole patches of huckleberries, for an entire generation of Edward Emersons!" But all in all I enjoyed the play thoroughly.
